Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Engineering or a related technical discipline. Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Prior experience must include four (4) years: Utilizing Word and Power Point to synthesize and present findings; working with middle office, back office, trade execution and booking, hedging systems, and portfolio management systems. Prior experience must also include one (1) year: Utilizing Excel and other tools to analyze portfolio trends; trading multiple products and markets, including equities, credit, derivatives, FX, and municipal bonds; working with corporate finance and valuation techniques; applying understanding of derivatives and hedging strategies across a broad range of product and markets. FINRA License Series 7, 63, 57 required. |
Duties: | Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Support Senior Trader across wide spectrum of trading, sourcing, hedging, analytics, booking, and other responsibilities; possess strong grasp of corporate credit, corporate equity, muni, FX, macro, and related derivative products and markets across the U.S. Canada, Caribbean and Latin America; interact with external sales people and traders to develop an understanding of markets generally and related to specific trades; track trades, quotes, and research to determine appropriate expectations around trace price and size execution; execute trades for multiple products at best trade levels possible and book those trades in compliance with internal, external, and regulatory requirements; communicate activity (both general market and specifically related to positions) across the team in real time and synthesize feedback to calibrate trading approach; enhance idea sourcing efforts by monitoring and reporting on new issue activity, topical names trading in the secondary market, news, and trading levels; lead analysis across the portfolio, producing a wide range of regular reports and bespoke analytics; manage trade booking efforts and related systems, liaising with our compliance, credit, legal, controllers, conflicts, middle office, finance and accounting, strats, and technology teams. |
