Tesla CEO Elon Musk has become the richest businessman in the world. Musk's rise in shares in the electric-car maker has led the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which tracks the fortunes of the richest people online, overtaking Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Bloomberg estimates Musk's fortune at $188.5 billion, $1.5 billion more than Bezos.
CNBC also estimates Musk has become the richest man in the world. The broadcaster estimates his fortune at $184 billion. Bezos, CNBC reminds us, has topped the billionaire rankings since 2017.
