Fire Disrupts Wahlberg's Launch
Mark Wahlberg’s new Mexican restaurant, Flecha Cantina, encountered an unexpected setback hours before its highly anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony in Las Vegas. Just after opening on September 14, the restaurant faced a fire incident on November 6, briefly overshadowing the celebration plans.
The blaze began around 5:30 p.m. on the restaurant’s patio, specifically at a propane fire table. Quick response from the Clark County Fire Department, along with the restaurant’s sprinkler system, helped contain the fire to the outdoor area, allowing guests and staff to evacuate safely. Surveillance footage later confirmed the flames originated within the table’s internal components, but the restaurant’s interior was unaffected, and no injuries were reported.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Flecha Cantina said, “Only the fire pit and a nearby chair were affected,” emphasizing that the swift response ensured minimal damage. Within hours, repairs were completed, and Flecha Cantina was back in operation, keeping its upcoming ribbon-cutting event on track.
Located in the heart of Las Vegas, Flecha Cantina is already gaining attention for its unique blend of traditional Mexican flavors, marking the second location following the original in Huntington Beach, California. Wahlberg, who relocated to Las Vegas with his family in 2022, sees the city as an inspiring place for both personal and professional growth. As he put it, “Las Vegas is a place where my kids can thrive, explore their interests, and pursue their passions.”
