Donald Trump was born in Queens, New York City. He was the fourth of the five children of Frederick Christ Trump. Before he won the elections in 2017, Trump was an entrepreneur, showman, and TV-presenter.  He owned several resorts, golf courses, buildings, gambling houses in the United States, and other countries.

Then he expanded the business by investing in the property in NY and NJ. Since 1984, Trump acquired Plaza Hotel, Grand Central Terminal, Grand Hyatt Hotel, several skyscrapers, PlamBeach estate, Atlantic City casinos, and also Trump Towers.

In the Forbes magazine, Donald Trump`s fortune is estimated at 3.7$ billion. That`s 113th place in the United States.

Despite all these successful acquisitions, Trump almost went bankrupt by the end of the 90s due to too high spending on real estate.

From the 1980s Trump periodically mused in public about running for president, but those moments were widely dismissed in the press as publicity stunts and eventually led to making fun.

In 1999 he switched his voter registration from Republican to the Reform Party. Though he ultimately declined to run in 2000, he published a book that year, “The America We Deserve”, in which he set forth his socially liberal and economically conservative political views. Before the elections, Trump announced that he would be a candidate in the U.S. presidential election of 2016. Promising to “make America great again”. "Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a truly great leader now," Trump said. He said that rather than being a cheerleader for America, President Obama has been "a negative force."
