Developments this week

The US stock market ended Friday's trading with gains in the telecoms, utilities and commodities sectors.

At the close on the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones was up 0.40 per cent, the S&P 500 was up 0.34 per cent and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.29 per cent.

Company reports on Monday

On Monday expect reports from Precipio, 4 Less Group, AstroNova, Basic Energy Services, Circor International, Crawford United, CyberOptics, Marathon Digital Holdings, Viking Energy Group and many others.

As far as the economy is concerned, there will be an update on Monday:

Factory orders (Feb.);
Core capital equipment orders (Feb.).

Tuesday

Tuesday's report will be released by Acuity Brands, Lindsay Corporation, Array Technologies, SMART Global Holdings, Landec Corporation, Art's Way Manufacturing, Byline Bancorp, Vertiv Holdings and others.

In economic news, it will be known:

Foreign trade deficit for February;
S&P Global (Markit) PMI (final) for March;
ISM services index for March.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, companies such as Levi Strauss and Co, Resources Connection, Midwest Energy Emissions, Simply Good Foods, Greenbrier Companies, Richardson Electronics, RPM International, Schnitzer Steel Industries, Simulations Plus and others.

As for the economy, the FOMC minutes will be held on Wednesday.

Thursday

Reports from WD-40, AngioDynamics, Apogee Enterprises, Conagra Brands, Constellation Brands, Northern Technologies International, Hamilton Thorne, Lamb Weston Holdings, PriceSmart and others.

Economy:

Initial jobless claims (April 2);
Continuing jobless claims (March 26);
Consumer credit (Feb.).

Friday

Friday will bring a report from Eli Lilly in the US and Wholesale inventories (revision) for February.
