Stock market after Fed announcement
The New York Stock Exchange closed Wednesday with gains in key indices after the US Federal Reserve (Fed) raised its benchmark interest rate to 0.25-0.5% per annum for the first time since 2018.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 518.76 points (1.55%) to 34,063.1 points. The S&P 500 index gained 95.41 points (2.24%), rising to 4,357.86 points. The Nasdaq electronic exchange index rose 487.93 points (3.77%) to 13,436.55 points.
On the corporate side, Dutch Bros (NYSE: BROS) shares started trading at $50.54 in yesterday's trading and closed on the upside (4.39%) at $51.58. The maximum price per share was US$52.20 and the minimum was US$49.31.
Shares of Olin Corp. (NYSE: OLN) opened at $50.86 and closed on the plus side (5.11%) at $52.82. Also, the maximum price per share was US$52.99 and the minimum was US$50.64.
Shares of SEI Investments (NYSE: OLN) opened at USD 58.38 and closed on the plus side (2.37%) at USD 59.26. The maximum value per share was US$59.57 and the minimum was US$58.16. It is worth noting that the Volume stands at 663,445.
Shares of US auto dealer Penske Automotive (NYSE: PAG) started at USD 102.18 and closed on the plus side (4.10%) at USD 105.32. The maximum value per share was US$106 and the minimum was US$102.18.
