Duties:
HarperCollins is looking for a Manager OR Assistant Manager, DEI. This role will report directly into the VP, DEI and be responsible for recognizing, creating and implementing plans to promote diversity within our organization aligned to talent and diversity strategy. Significant parts of this role include promoting and developing programs, providing innovative ideas to attract, retain and advance talent, as well as enhancing employee understanding on diversity and inclusion issues. Working closely with the HR team, the Manager/Assistant Manager, DEI will also ensure that diversity agendas are successfully implemented and in line with businesses objectives.
This role requires an understanding and awareness of diversity, equity, inclusion issues and best practices. As the Manager/Assistant Manager, DEI, you must be dedicated to the continual progression of diversity equity and inclusion in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Researches and advises on diversity, equity, inclusion issues.
- Creates and develops training, programs and communications to help advance diversity, equity, inclusion within the organization.
- Supports and guides the various key stakeholders and groups inclusive of recruitment to help elevate our brand on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Identifies external trends and promotes diversity strategy and best practices to attract, retain and advance talent.
- Builds relationships across the organization, and acts as a resource for matters related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Partners closely with Human Resources Business leads to identify opportunities to weave diversity and inclusion into the organization’s policies and practices.
- Collates information from surveys and data analytics for Diversity Reviews and creates a narrative from the metrics.
- Develops and maximizes external partnerships with diversity organizations.
- Advises and oversees Business Resource Groups and Diversity and Inclusion Councils.
