Key indices on the New York Stock Exchange rose at the opening of trading on Wednesday amid a slowdown in oil prices. This is evidenced by the data posted on the trading floor website.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 574.45 points (1.76%) to 33,207.09 points in the first minutes of trading. The S&P 500 index gained 81.92 points (1.96 per cent) to 4,252.62 points. The Nasdaq electronic exchange index rose 313.3 points (2.45%) to 13,108.85 points.
