Brian Evanko is President of Cigna's U.S. Government business. In this role, Evanko oversees the company’s Cigna-HealthSpring (CHS), Individual & Family Plans (IFP), Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB), and CareAllies businesses. He also leads Cigna Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice with 20 health care centers located throughout metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona serving more than 100,000 customers.
Previously, Evanko served as President of Cigna’s U.S. Individual and Voluntary businesses. Additionally, he led Cigna's individual supplemental business (Cigna Supplemental Benefits) to meaningful growth following Cigna's entrance into this market in 2012. Prior to that, Evanko served as Business Financial Officer for Cigna's Global Individual Health, Life and Accident operations based in Hong Kong and Singapore from 2009 to 2013. He has also held various roles across Cigna's U.S. and International businesses in Hartford, Connecticut and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In 2018, he was named to the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut Science Center. Evanko also has been instrumental in Cigna’s partnership with Achilles International, serving as a race guide for runners with disabilities since 2015, including Cigna’s sponsorship of the Walt Disney World and Marine Corp Marathons.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Pennsylvania State University and holds the FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designations.
