US stock market

The Dow Jones was up 0.04% at the close on the New York Stock Exchange, the S&P 500 was up 0.30% and the NASDAQ Composite was up 0.35%.

The top gainers among Dow Jones index components in yesterday's trading were Salesforce.com Inc (NYSE:CRM), up 6.11p (2.52%). (2.52%) to close at 248.39. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) gained 3.03p (2.08%) to close at 248.39. (2.08%), closing at 148.89. Merck Company Inc (NYSE:MRK) gained 0.83p (1.10%) to close at 148.89. (1.10%) to close at 76.04.

American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) shares were the fallers, dropping 2.15p (1.26%) to close at 76.76. (1.26%), ending the session at 168.52. Visa Inc Class A (NYSE:V) shares climbed 2.95p (1.26%) to close at 231.79 and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) dropped 0.60p (1.11%) to close the trading at 53.54.

The top gainers among the S&P 500 index components in yesterday's trading were Cooper Companies Inc (NYSE:COO), which gained 7.79% to 440.00, Gartner Inc (NYSE:IT), which gained 2.83% to close at 303.82, and Salesforce.com Inc (NYSE:CRM), which gained 2.52% to close the session at 248.39.

Western Digital Corporation (NASDAQ:WDC) shares were the fallers, dropping 6.50% to close at 62.38. Shares of Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU) lost 6.37% to end the session at 70.25. KLA-Tencor Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) was down 4.13% to 328.51.

The top gainers among the components of the NASDAQ Composite index in yesterday's trading were Powerbridge Technologies Co Ltd (NASDAQ:PBTS) which gained 64.57% to 2.0900, IEC Electronics Corp (NASDAQ:IEC) which gained 46.69% to close at 15.27 and The ExOne Company (NASDAQ:XONE) which gained 45.14% to close the session at 25.08.

Medavail Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:MDVL) shares were the fallers, down 52.46% to close at 3.57. Shares of Lifestance Health Group Inc (NASDAQ:LFST) lost 46.91% to end the session at 11.61. Gohealth Llc (NASDAQ:GOCO) was down 42.80% to 4.69.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the number of securities that declined (1,817) exceeded the number that closed on the plus side (1,402), while 138 shares were virtually unchanged. On NASDAQ, 2,058 companies fell in price, 1,442 rose and 183 remained flat at the previous close.
