New electric cars from GM
GM on Sunday unveiled the redesigned Chevrolet Bolt EV 2022 and the larger, new Chevrolet Bolt EUV crossover with Super Cruise autopilot system. GM aims to reach its target of 30 electric vehicles over the next four years.
General Motors (GM) on Sunday unveiled two Chevrolet Bolt electric cars, an all-new Bolt EUV SUV and a redesigned Bolt EV hatchback with a starting price of more than $5,000 lower than the 2021 model.
Among the new features in the models is a button on the centre console that, when pressed, allows the vehicle to be driven using a single pedal.
The new Chevrolet Bolt electric cars are based on the BEV2 battery platform rather than the new Ultium platform.
The new electric vehicles come with a "two-tier charging cord" with an interchangeable plug that allows drivers to choose between 120V or 240V charging. Both vehicles can be charged at 11kW, but this requires separate charging equipment from GM's partner company Qmerit.
