Testing the Hyperloop

Musk proposed the Hyperloop idea in 2012. The idea is for capsules carrying passengers or cargo to travel in tubes above the ground in highly rarefied air at speeds of up to 1,220 km/h.

"Full-scale Hyperloop test begins," The Boring Company said in a post on Twitter. It is accompanied by two photos: judging by them, a Tesla electric car is being used for the test.

It is worth noting that Tesla CEO Elon Musk came up with the idea for the Hyperloop in 2012. The idea is that capsules carrying passengers or cargo travel through tubes above the Earth's surface in highly rarefied air at speeds of up to 1,220km/h.

In 2018, British entrepreneur and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson proposed building such a transport system in India. It would connect Mumbai airport with Pune. Branson even obtained preliminary approval for its construction from the Maharashtra state government. However, in early 2020, the state government announced a halt to the project.

Hyperloop, a company working to commercialise the high-speed technology concept, was founded on June 1, 2014, reorganised and renamed on October 12, 2017. As for the concept itself, it is open and anyone can get involved, which is what Branson tried to do in India.
