Stock market on Tuesday
US stock indices are falling in trading on Tuesday due to concerns about inflation and recession in the US.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.97 per cent to 30485.49 points by 10:57 a.m.
The Standard Poor's 500 has fallen 2.02% to 3,747.91 points since the market opened.
The Nasdaq Composite had lost 1.78% by this time to 10929.32 points.
As far as gas prices are concerned, gas prices continue to fall slowly as the national average for regular gasoline exceeded $5 a gallon last month.
That figure was the largest recorded gas price since the engine group American Automobile Association, also known as (AAA) began tracking data in 2000.
The price of a gallon of regular gasoline reached $4.80 this morning, 80 cents less than a week ago.
According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), gas is still well above the price of July 2021, when a gallon of gas cost an average of $3.13.
It is worth noting that Bitcoin (BC) prices initially fell on Tuesday morning as Bitcoin, Ether and Dogicoin were in negative territory. At almost 5 a.m. ET, bitcoin was trading at around $19,815 (-2.17%), down about $440. However, for the week, BC is down almost 2.4%. Over the month, BC is down about 32%.
