Falling at the start of trading
The New York Stock Exchange opened Thursday with key indices down 0.3-0.4%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 133.76 points (0.38%) to 35,095.05 in the first minutes of trading.
The S&P 500 index lost 13.15 points (0.29%) to 4,589.30 points.
The Nasdaq electronic exchange index fell 45.88 points (0.32%) to 14,396.39 points.
As noted by many experts, the negative dynamics may change during the day amid reports that the US administration is considering releasing 1 million barrels of oil daily from the strategic reserve for several months.
Meritor, Fortress Transportation, Frontier Airlines, Zeta Global, Frontdoor, PriceSmart, First Midwest Bancorp, TPG Capital, Chesapeake Utilities, Itron, Paramount Group, Piper Sandler, Ping Identity, Primo Water, Stepan Company opened in positive.
However, shares of Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, Riot Blockchain, Altra Industrial Motion, WD-40 Company, Momentive Global, Open Lending, Urban Outfitters, Newegg and Corcept Therapeutics opened in negative.
Also, May WTI crude futures fell by $3.91 a barrel (3.63%) to $103.91.
