Trading on the New York Stock Exchange closed Monday with key indices down 0.1-0.6% on the back of the Federal Reserve's (Fed) willingness to raise the government bond rate.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 201.94 points (0.58%) to 34,552.99. The S&P 500 index lost 1.94 points (0.04%) to 4,461.18 points. The Nasdaq electronic exchange index fell 55.38 points (0.4%) to 13,838.46 points.
On the corporate side, New York Community Bank (NYSE: NYCB) shares closed down $10.89 (-2.07%). The maximum value per share was US$11.28 and the minimum value was US$10.85.
SiTime (NASDAQ: SITM) shares ended the trading day at USD 240.57 (+0.73%). The high was USD 246.12 and the low was USD 232.02.
Sterling Bancorp (NASDAQ: SBT) shares closed the day down US$6.85 (-1.01%). However, the company had a maximum price per share of US$6.95 and a minimum of US$6.74.
WeWork (NYSE: WE) shares also closed in the negative at $6.28 (-2.33%). The maximum price per share was US$6.50 and the minimum was US$6.11.
