Requires a bachelor’s degree in the sciences, business, or engineering, with 1 year experience a planning, warehouse or business role, OR an Associates degree with 2 years of experience in a planning, warehouse or business role. E1 and/or SAP working knowledge, MRP knowledge and ERP experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge of business concepts/principles (terms and conditions, transportation, accounting) required. Basic knowledge of supply chain programs (Consignment, JIT, VMI). ISO or equivalent system and change control (FDA, cGMP) experience preferred. Organization process knowledge desired. Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions. Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a “can do” attitude. Is curious, inquisitive, innovative , never satisfied with the status quo. Greets challenge and change as opportunity. Duties: | The Materials Coordinator plays a key role to aid the flow of raw materials from the dock door to the production floor. This role works closely with cross functional teams including Receiving, Material Handling, Quality, Procurement, Operations and Planning to ensure materials flow consistently and production schedules and efficiency is maximized. Reporting to the Supply Planning Organization, the Materials Coordinator has responsibility for prioritizing and coordinating activities relating to raw material availability, including prioritization for incoming quality control testing, material availability for planning, and expedite needs for Procurement/Sourcing. This role will lead and organize meetings with cross functional teams to improve OTIF and LIFR results within the organization. Essential Functions Maintain continuous material availability to maximize production efficiency. Lead Material Availability Meetings. Coordinate Cross Functional teams to deliver an executable production schedule to improve OTIF and Line item fill rate goals Manage concurrent / reclass process to support production needs. Data gathering and analysis. This position may be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. |
