Company stocks on the New York Stock Exchange
The US stock market ended Tuesday's trading with gains in the technology, consumer services and oil and gas sectors.
The Dow Jones was up 0.20 per cent at the close on the New York Stock Exchange, the S&P 500 was up 0.51 per cent and the NASDAQ Composite was up 0.79 per cent.
Shares of Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE), which gained 2.42p (1.86%) to close at 132.50. Home Depot Inc (NYSE:HD) gained 5.08 pct (1.65%) to close at 312.69. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) gained 1.67p (1.26%) to close at 312.69. (1.26%) to close at 133.97.
Shares of Merck Company Inc (NYSE:MRK), which fell 0.58p (0.76%). Shares of Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) climbed 1.51p (0.62%) to close at 243.77 and Salesforce.com Inc (NYSE:CRM) dropped 1.41p (0.58%) to close at 243.07.
Shares of L Brands Inc (NYSE:LB), which gained 5.02% to 69.09, Nordstrom Inc (NYSE:JWN), which gained 4.68% to close at 34.45, and Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ:CTAS), which gained 3.26% to end the session at 374.62.
Shares of Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM) were down 3.55% to close at 43.75. Shares of Evergy Inc (NYSE:EVRG) lost 2.95% to end the session at 61.83. Kimco Realty Corporation (NYSE:KIM) was down 2.19% to 20.56.
Shares of Alfi Inc (NASDAQ:ALF) gained 109.42% to 16,340, County Bancorp (NASDAQ:ICBK) which gained 47.37% to close at 34.47 and shares of Idera Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:IDRA) which gained 41.07% to end the session at 1.5800.
Shares of Torchlight Energy Resources Inc (NASDAQ:TRCH) were down 28.02% to close at 7,140. Shares of Portage Biotech Inc (NASDAQ:PRTG) lost 16.78% to end the session at 33.04. Prometheus Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:RXDX) was down 13.98% to 22.18.
On the NYSE, 1,653 gained more than 1,510 lost ground while 130 gained little. On NASDAQ, 1,785 stocks traded lower, 1,661 gained and 155 remained flat.
August gold futures lost 0.31%, or 5.45, to $1,777.45 per troy ounce. As for other commodities, WTI crude futures for August delivery fell 0.27%, or 0.20, to $72.92 a barrel. Brent crude futures for August delivery were unchanged 0.00%, or 0.00, to $74.90 a barrel.
The CBOE Volatility Index, which is derived from options trading on the S&P 500, fell 6.88% to 16.66.
