Amazon as a fashion shop

US corporation Amazon will open its first Amazon Style apparel retail shop this year and it will be located in Los Angeles, California. This is according to a press release posted on the company's website on Thursday.

The statement said, "We are delighted to introduce Amazon Style, our first shop with fashionable clothing for both men and women. Shoes, accessories as well as clothing can be found at Amazon Style."

Moreover, the shop will also be equipped with state-of-the-art devices that will make it easy to find and try on the products you like.

The QR codes in the dedicated Amazon Shopping app will provide visitors with data on sizes, colours of a particular product, as well as customer reviews, the company said. For a more personalised experience, it will be possible to share information about your style and preferences in a section of the app to receive more accurate recommendations. Using a touch screen in the fitting room, shoppers will be able to select the products they like, and shop staff will deliver them for fitting.

According to CNBC, the shop is approximately 30,000 square feet.

Amazon is a US company, the world's largest e-commerce platform and public-cloud computing company by revenue and market capitalisation. The company was founded in 1994 by Jeffrey Preston Bezos.
