Longoria’s Bold Donation
Eva Longoria is stepping forward with unwavering determination to assist communities ravaged by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. The celebrated actress and dedicated humanitarian has pledged $1 million through her foundation to support those impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires — devastating events that have uprooted thousands, obliterated homes, and claimed 24 lives in just a matter of days.
This generous contribution stems from the $50 million Jeff Bezos Courage and Civility Award Longoria received earlier this year in March. The funds are set to benefit the Latino Community Foundation, under the leadership of Julián Castro, and the California Community Foundation. The allocation aims to deliver urgent aid while also supporting the long-term recovery of families and businesses affected by the devastation.
"Helping L.A. recover from these devastating fires aligns with my commitment to uplifting communities in need," Longoria stated.
In addition to her financial support, Longoria is taking a hands-on approach to relief efforts. She has pledged to volunteer with Global Empowerment Mission, helping organize and distribute essential supplies for fire victims. Furthermore, she plans to visit World Central Kitchen to assist in providing meals to displaced residents and first responders.
This is not Longoria’s first time stepping up for vulnerable populations. Earlier this year, she matched a $50,000 donation to This Is About Humanity, benefiting frontline workers, farm laborers, and families affected by natural disasters.
Since founding the Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012, Longoria has focused on empowering Latina women and girls through education, mentorship, and financial initiatives. Her latest actions reinforce her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference during crises.
