Biography
Bruce A. Carbonari is the retired chairman and chief executive officer of Fortune Brands, Inc.
Career
Prior to his retirement, he led the diversified consumer products company from 2008–2011 and, before that, served as its president and chief executive officer from 2007–2008.
Over his 13-year career with Fortune Brands, he also headed its Home & Hardware LLC business unit as chairman and chief executive officer from 2005–2007 and as president and chief executive officer from 2001–2005, as well as held the title of president and chief executive officer for its Kitchen & Bath Group from 1998–2001.
Prior to that, he served as president and chief executive officer of Moen, Inc. from 1990–1998 and as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Stanadyne, Inc., Moen's parent company at that time, from 1981–1990. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Education
Carbonari holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Boston College and an MBA from Rensselaer Hartford Graduate Center.
