Leah Gerstner is Vice President, Public Affairs at American Express. She leads the development and implementation of communication strategies and campaigns for the company’s global consumer services business and is head of international public affairs for American Express.
Previously, Leah handled public affairs for a division of the company focused on using emerging technologies to reach new customers beyond American Express’s core businesses. In this role, she led the team that created the documentary Spent: Looking for Change which sparked a national dialogue about the challenges facing everyday Americans underserved by our financial system. Leah was previously an executive vice president at the global public relations firm, Porter Novelli, where she advised a number of tech, financial and consumer brands.
She is a graduate of The George Washington University and received a degree in political communication.
