Biography
Mitch Jackson is staff vice president of FedEx Corporation’s Environmental Affairs & Sustainability. In that capacity, he has responsibility for the sustainability and governance areas of these matters, providing strategic direction and management of environmental, energy management and sustainability issues.
Career and education
He has worked for FedEx in differing aspects of the company, including operations, properties and engineering, and the legal division.
Mitch holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in operations management. Among his committee participations, Mitch is a past chairman of the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI). He is a vice president at large on American Trucking Association's Board of Directors.
He also serves on The Keystone Center’s Energy Board and sits on Governor Phil Bredesen’s Keep Tennessee Beautiful Advisory Council. Mitch has also served on the Heinz Family Philanthropies’ Heinz Awards environment jury for the past three years.
