Stocks of companies on the stock exchange

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) shares gained 0.2% on the New York Stock Exchange premarket after the e-commerce giant launched its two-day Prime Day event, which last year brought it $10.4bn in gross sales.

Shares of Raven (NASDAQ:RAVN) soared more than 48% after the crop products maker accepted a $2.1 billion offer from CNH Industrial NV (NYSE:CNHI), a deal expected to close in the fourth quarter.

Shares in Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) fell 3% as investors left the cryptocurrency platform after China expanded restrictions on bitcoin mining. MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) shares fell 7.8% as the business intelligence company is one of the biggest corporate investors in bitcoins.

Curevac (NASDAQ:CVAC) shares rose 3.4% after a scientist leading a study of the drug maker's COVID-19 vaccine said the reason it is only 47% proven effective could be due to low dosage.

GameStop (NYSE:GME) shares rose 1.5% after the struggling video games retailer appointed chief executive Matt Furlong to its board, on the same day that a former Amazon executive will lead the company.

Shares in Theravance Biopharma Inc (NASDAQ:TBPH) plunged 6.3% after the company announced that a drug it is developing to treat lung damage due to COVID-19 is substandard.

Shares of American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) added 0.4% after the airline announced plans to cancel about 1% of its flights in July while it struggles to cope with a surge in travel demand.

Ziprecruiter (NYSE:ZIP) shares rose 3% after Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) rated the online staffing agency's shares "buy", saying it was well placed to benefit from a shift to online recruitment.

Shares in Pershing Square Tontine Holdings (NYSE:SQ) rose 1.3% after Bill Ackman's company SPAC completed its purchase of a 10% stake in Universal Music from Vivendi (PA:VIV).
