  • Requirements for applicants:

    Previous experience as a PA in Critical Care or Cardiology preferred.

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program.

    Current New York State Physician Assistant licensure.

    Minimum of one year Physician Assistant experience in critical care.

    National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Advanced Certified Life Support (ACLS).

  • Duties:

    PA's are highly respected collaborators, working as a part of a cohesive team to ensure the care and caring of our patients and their families while being committed to our culture of Putting Patients First.

    Step into the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and manage continuity of care for the highest acuity cases in our region. You will assess, plan and provide patient care to our patients and their families. In an environment of rare procedures and rewarding outcomes, you will be a vital contributor.

  • Working conditions:

    This is a per diem position with 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
