Murder Plot Shocks Fans
Reality TV star Aaron Goodwin has moved to end his marriage just days after his wife, Victoria Goodwin, was arrested for allegedly plotting his murder.
Legal filings in Clark County, Nevada, reviewed by USA TODAY reveal that 48-year-old Aaron Goodwin officially filed for divorce on Wednesday. His move comes in the wake of a bombshell case involving his wife, 32-year-old Victoria Goodwin, who was arrested on March 6 and charged with solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder. She is currently being held on a $100,000 bond, with her next court appearance scheduled for March 25.
According to investigators, the alleged plot surfaced when authorities intercepted communications between Victoria Goodwin and an inmate in Florida last October. Reports from NBC News, CNN, and E! News indicate that she and the inmate were allegedly working together to arrange a third party to carry out the killing. Law enforcement sources cited in the reports claim that at one point, she questioned whether she was "a bad person" because she "chose to end" her husband's "existence." She also allegedly shared details of his whereabouts.
While Victoria Goodwin has denied wanting her husband dead, she reportedly told police the couple was experiencing marital troubles. USA TODAY has reached out to her attorney, the Clark County District Attorney's Office, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for further comment.
Aaron Goodwin is best known as a camera operator and investigator on Ghost Adventures, a long-running paranormal reality series on Discovery+ led by Zak Bagans. The show has aired since 2008, making Goodwin a familiar face to fans of supernatural investigations.
The couple wed in August 2022 and marked their second anniversary last year with an affectionate Instagram post from Aaron, who wrote, "2 years ago today I got to marry my best friend I'm so lucky to have u in my life hun."
Just last month, Aaron shared a lighthearted moment on social media, posting a photo of Victoria playing mini golf with the caption: "My valentine always beats me at mini golf."
Now, their marriage takes a grim turn, with the TV personality distancing himself from a case that has left the paranormal investigator at the center of a real-life nightmare.
