Inside Mahomes’ NOLA Getaway
Before Patrick Mahomes steps onto the field for his latest shot at Super Bowl glory, he and his family are making the most of their time in New Orleans.
Brittany Mahomes, the quarterback’s wife, documented their first adventure in the Big Easy on Instagram, sharing a glimpse of their visit to the aquarium. “First adventure of NOLA [at] the aquarium,” she captioned a photo on Friday, February 7.
Dressed casually in a white T-shirt and a blue “Mom Szn” baseball cap, Brittany, 29, pushed a double stroller carrying their two eldest children — Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 2. While Sterling looked delighted by the aquatic sights, Bronze’s reaction was far less enthusiastic. “Bronze, yes, in fact, he did not like any of it,” Brittany quipped in her caption.
Later in the evening, the couple swapped family time for a stylish night out, joining Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift for a double date at Lilette, a renowned New Orleans eatery. Swift, 35, opted for an all-black ensemble, while Brittany paid homage to the Kansas City Chiefs in a striking red two-piece.
The Mahomeses arrived in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX, where Patrick, 29, will lead his team against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, February 9. A fixture on the sidelines, Brittany has supported Patrick since their high school days and is expected to cheer him on alongside their three children — including their youngest, Golden, who was born last month.
Patrick is embracing fatherhood amid his championship pursuits, expressing excitement that Golden will witness her very first football game at the Super Bowl. “I think it’ll be her first football game at the Super Bowl, and I hope that we get her a win,” he said in a pregame press conference.
Sterling and Bronze have already become familiar faces at Chiefs games, last attending the team’s playoff victory against the Houston Texans in January. For Patrick, balancing football and family is a cherished experience.
“It’s a growing family, but [I] hope we are done growing for a little while,” he previously shared. “It’s cool that I’m able to play in these big games, and the Kansas City community has brought me in to be a part of their family.”
As Patrick prepares for another shot at a championship ring, the Mahomes family is soaking in every moment — both on and off the field.
