Recognizing her passion for music, her parents initiated her piano lessons at the tender age of six. Over the years, Kayla honed her skills, sharing the stage with her father and establishing her unique style, often described as Urban Smooth Jazz.

Transition to Shanachie Entertainment

Kayla Waters has recently switched record labels, coinciding with the release of her third album. She is grateful to her father for his influence in the industry, which led to her signing with Shanachie Entertainment. This collaboration marks a major milestone in her career, especially since her last album was released in 2018 after a five-year gap.

The production of "Presence" also benefited from the expertise of Grammy-nominated Chris "Big Dog" Davis, renowned Jazz keyboardist based in Connecticut.
