Apple shares rose 2.43% on Tuesday, continuing their recovery from the February-March decline. The decline was likely caused by investor concerns about the impact of a global shortage of semiconductors. Although Apple has not commented on chip supply problems, they could affect the pace of production and supply of the company's new products.
The $2.2 trillion rise in the world's most valuable company's stock market value since the start of 2021 has lagged behind that of other major technology companies.
