Movies, Music and Mayhem
Leslie Jones is a big fan of Whitney Cummings — so much so that she ranks Cummings’ podcast just behind her own.
The comedian and Saturday Night Live alum, 57, opened up in Us Weekly’s What I’m Obsessed With feature, revealing her admiration for Cummings’ Good For You podcast. “She’s so funny. She’s the white version of me,” Jones quipped.
Jones and Cummings have long been mutual cheerleaders, frequently hyping each other up on social media. Jones even joined Cummings on her podcast in September 2023 for an episode titled “Successful Dating Advice.”
Movies That Made an Impact
When it comes to recent movie obsessions, Jones couldn’t get enough of Back in Action, starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. The Netflix film left a strong impression, particularly Diaz’s performance. “Her protecting her daughter it just brought me back to how good she is and she’s still that bitch,” Jones shared.
Books, Music, and Must-Watch TV
Jones also swears by Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist, calling it essential reading for dreamers and go-getters alike. “Be patient with the lessons you are learning through life to make you the bomb,” she advised.
Musically, she finds it impossible to choose between the Blues Brothers soundtrack and A Night at Studio 54. “Studio 54 is the epitome of disco—no one else can do that right now,” she declared.
And when it comes to TV, Jones embraces variety. From detective dramas to cooking shows and HGTV marathons, her taste knows no bounds. Lately, though, she’s been watching every season of RuPaul’s Drag Race live on Instagram, while keeping up with series like Found, Will Trent, and all things 9-1-1.
Whether it’s comedy, music, or high-energy action films, Jones knows how to pick entertainment that delivers.
