Kylie’s Fitness Rule
Jason Kelce recently opened up about his fitness journey and how his wife, Kylie Kelce, has taken an active role in keeping him in check. During the October 18 episode of the "Centered on Buffalo" podcast, the 36-year-old NFL veteran shared a humorous moment when Kylie issued him a stern, yet playful, warning about his workout goals.
“I was working out the other day, and Kylie [said], ‘If you get a six-pack, I will be furious,’” Jason revealed with a laugh, adding that his wife isn’t keen on him getting too lean.
Jason, who retired from the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year after a remarkable 13-year career, shared that he currently weighs between 270 and 275 pounds. Although he’s been trying to stay on top of his fitness, he admits the road can sometimes be a challenge for sticking to a healthy routine. He joked about indulging in chicken sandwiches during a recent trip to Cincinnati, but overall, he’s happy with his progress.
Jason has set a personal goal to eventually reach 260 pounds but emphasized the importance of taking it slow. “A lot of guys lose too much too fast, and it feels like it just doesn’t fall off properly or it looks drastically different,” he said. He believes 260 is a good target, though he plans to reassess once he gets there.
Earlier this year, Jason also shared that Kylie implemented a rule to ensure he stays active, requiring him to work out at least three days a week. According to Jason, the routine has a positive effect on his mood and family life, making him a better person overall.
The couple, married since 2018, are parents to three daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1. They recently made a family outing to Taylor Swift’s Miami Eras Tour on October 18, where Swift debuted a new outfit. Jason and Kylie brought their two eldest daughters to the concert, and Jason’s mother, Donna Kelce, was also seen at the show alongside Kylie and her granddaughters.
Though Jason was able to attend, his brother Travis Kelce, currently in season with the Kansas City Chiefs, was noticeably absent due to his team’s upcoming game. Despite this, the Kelce family still made a memorable appearance at the concert.
