Amber Rose Sets the Record Straight
Amber Rose debunked dating rumors with NFL rookie CJ Stroud after they were seen leaving a charity softball game together, clarifying on Instagram.
"Contrary to the grapevine, there's no love connection brewing between me and NFL newcomer CJ Stroud," Rose, 40, clarified on her Instagram Story on Friday, February 16. "We're practically strangers; our first encounter was just yesterday at that softball game. The sprinter van had ditched me, and he kindly offered me a lift back to my hotel."
Both Rose and the 22-year-old Houston Texans quarterback were among the star-studded attendees at the Cactus Jack charity event held at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, organized by Travis Scott's nonprofit. The roster boasted names like Teyana Taylor, Anthony Mackie, and Josie Canseco.
Footage circulating on Instagram, courtesy of The Neighborhood Talk, captured Rose and Stroud exiting the game together. Rose walked ahead of Stroud, who has yet to address the romance conjecture.
Rose's romantic history includes her marriage to Wiz Khalifa from 2011 to 2014, with whom she shares a 10-year-old son, Sebastian “Bash.” Despite their split, co-parenting remains a priority for them.
"We've mastered the art of co-parenting," Rose revealed exclusively to Us Weekly in October 2020. "Even if there are lingering feelings post-breakup, it's not about us anymore; it's about the kids. Wiz and I understood that early on."
Rose is also a mother to 4-year-old son Slash, shared with Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, her partner from 2018 to 2021. Edwards, 38, has since moved on romantically, notably with music icon Cher, despite their significant age gap.
Post-breakup, Rose has embraced her independence, expressing her contentment with flying solo.
"The dating scene? It's a disaster," lamented the model during a January 2023 appearance on the “Sofia with an F” podcast. "Men are repulsive out there. They're repugnant. Personally, I'm embracing the single life for the long haul."
She humorously quipped, "I'm not keen on sharing my space or my life with anyone. My house is my sanctuary, and I'm not interested in any intrusion. No more playing the field for me. It's just not my cup of tea."
