Description
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping women-owned businesses thrive.
The company believes that diversity promotes innovation, opens doors and creates partnerships that fuel the economy. That's why they not only provide the most reliable certification standards for women-owned enterprises, but also offer tools that will help them succeed.
The WBENC was founded in 1997 to develop a nationwide certification standard for women-owned businesses. Since then, the organization has grown to become the largest third-party certifying authority for women-owned, controlled, and operated businesses in the United States, as well as a leading advocate for women-owned businesses in corporate and government supply chains.
WEBENCH, a nonprofit organization, works with 14 Regional Partner organizations to provide its world-class certification standard to women-owned businesses across the country, and offers programs and resources to help women-owned businesses thrive.
This is possible thanks to the support of corporate and government members involved in the diversity of suppliers and investing in the development of women-owned enterprises as suppliers.
