Abusupjan "Abus" Magomedov is a Russian-German mixed martial artist in the middleweight division. He is ranked number two in his weight class in Germany. He gained international fame primarily through his appearances in the Professional Fighters League, where he fought his way through to the final in the 2018 season.
Abus Magomedov began wrestling as a child. The tradition of martial arts in Dagestan and his personal affinity led him to dedicate himself to this sport as a professional. After his family emigrated to Germany, Abus Magomedov developed his skills, including kickboxing. At the age of 20, he became a professional mixed martial arts fighter.
Before his international breakthrough, Magomedov fought five times in the German MMA Championship (GMC), among others. In 2013, he secured the German MMA Championship welterweight title with an early victory over current UFC fighter Jessin Ayari. He currently has a professional record of 25-4-1 with 20 early victories. The athlete trains at the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf and is currently under contract with the UFC.
