Biography
David A. Daberko is the retired board chairman and chief executive officer of National City Corporation, now a part of PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.
Career
He joined the company in 1968, later being elected to deputy chairman of National City Corporation and president of National City Bank in Cleveland in 1987. He served as president and chief operating officer of National City Corporation from 1993–1995 and, until his retirement in 2007, headed the company as chairman and chief executive officer. He retired in 2018 as lead director of Marathon Petroleum Corporation and director of MPLX GP LLC. He was formerly a director of Williams Partners L.P.
Education
Daberko holds a bachelor’s degree from Denison University and an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
