Mauricio Umansky’s Road to Recovery
Real estate mogul and Buying Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky is on the mend after undergoing surgery for a broken clavicle. The 54-year-old suffered the injury while skiing in Aspen last week, leading to a procedure where doctors inserted a metal plate and 12 screws to stabilize the fracture.
On Sunday, February 16, Umansky took to Instagram to share an update with fans, thanking them for their support and reassuring them of his recovery. He also praised the medical team who treated him. “The doctors and nurses at Aspen Valley Hospital are the best,” he wrote.
Umansky first broke the news of his hospitalization on February 14, posting a selfie from his hospital bed on Instagram Stories. He expressed gratitude to the ski patrol and paramedics who helped him, calling them "amazing humans." Shortly after, he shared an X-ray of the injury, confirming that surgery was necessary.
The setback comes during an already turbulent time in Umansky’s personal life. He and his estranged wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, announced their separation in July 2023. While they have yet to file for divorce, the former couple is now actively discussing the fate of their longtime family home.
Richards recently revealed in an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show that they are weighing their options, including whether to sell the house or keep it as a shared property while living separately.
As Umansky focuses on healing, he also faces major life changes, both personally and professionally. Despite the challenges, he remains optimistic about his recovery and the road ahead.
