Hannah Pillemer Takes the Lead
Fox Entertainment, in collaboration with its in-house studio division, MarVista Entertainment, proudly introduces Tideline Entertainment — a groundbreaking production label dedicated to crafting impactful and meaningful content. Tideline aims to showcase unique perspectives from diverse storytellers and creators worldwide.
Vision and Leadership
Hannah Pillemer, MarVista's EVP and Head of Creative Production, will lead Tideline Entertainment. Under her guidance, the label will explore a range of projects, including movies, indie films, limited series, and cross-genre formats, tailored to support each creative vision.
Inaugural Project: Ponyboi
Tideline's inaugural project is the highly anticipated film Ponyboi, directed by Esteban Arango and produced in partnership with 30Kft. Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section, the movie, written by River Gallo and starring Dylan O'Brien, follows the journey of a young intersex sex worker entangled in a dangerous situation.
Tideline's Mission
"The tideline is the mark left by the tide when it reaches its highest point. We envision the Tideline banner to be synonymous with the most impactful genre storytelling and the home for creators to be their authentic selves as they share their stories with the world," said Pillemer. Tideline is already making strides in supporting exciting and important projects, starting with Ponyboi.
Fernando Szew's Perspective
Fernando Szew, CEO of MarVista Entertainment and Fox Entertainment Global, shared his vision, saying, "I have always believed that we must continue to build and evolve as a studio and storytellers." As MarVista celebrates its 20th anniversary and its second year as part of the Fox Entertainment family, the establishment of Tideline marks a significant step in broadening the scope of stories brought to the world.
Expanding Tideline's Portfolio
In addition to Ponyboi, the Tideline label includes the 2023 comedy First Time Female Director, debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival and directed, written, and starring Chelsea Peretti in her.
