Epicel is a permanent skin replacement humanitarian use device (HUD) for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with deep-dermal or full-thickness burns comprising greater than or equal to 30% of total body surface area (TBSA). Its NexoBrid, is a registration-stage, topically administered biological product that enzymatically removes nonviable burn tissue, or eschar, in patients with deep partial and full-thickness thermal burns.
