Frank Annicaro has served as Acting President, MTA Bus Company and Senior Vice-President, New York City Transit Department of Buses, since August 2021.
He is responsible for a $3.7 billion budget, managing over 18,000 employees, and delivering bus and paratransit service for a combined annual ridership of approximately 700 million. He manages 44 operating locations across the New York City metropolitan area and approximately 7,000 bus and paratransit vehicles.
Prior to his current position, Annicaro was the Chief Maintenance Officer for Buses. He was accountable for maintaining the entire fleet of 5,800 buses, managing multiple new bus procurement contracts and warranties, developing bus fleet plans, and focusing on the critical transition to a Zero Emission fleet by 2040.
Annicaro has over 30 years of experience in transportation, the last 18 in Buses, and prior to that over a decade in the private sector specializing in logistic services. He earned an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University and holds several technical and professional certifications.
Annicaro was born and raised in New York, and is married with two children.
