Career
Bridget Engle is the Chief Information Officer and Head of Engineering for BNY Mellon and is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee. Bridget drives digital transformation and is responsible for guiding the Firm’s nearly $3.5 billion annual budget that enables solutions across the Firm’s technology platforms to meet the needs of our clients and the world’s financial markets.
Before joining BNY Mellon, Bridget was the Chief Information Officer of Global Commercial Banking & Markets Technology for Bank of America. Additionally, she served as the Consumer Banking Technology & Operations Chief Information Officer, where she led a team that transformed the online and mobile banking platforms to serve the needs of more than 48 million consumer and small business relationships.
Prior to Bank of America, she was Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer for Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and held numerous technology management positions at Lehman Brothers including Chief Information Officer and Global Head of Business Continuity, Chief Technology Officer and Global Head of e-Commerce Technology. Bridget has also held various technical roles for AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Bridget serves as a Board Member for the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI). In 2022, she was named the Global CIO of the Year by Crain’s New York Orbie Awards and was previously named by them as one of the “100 Most Influential Women in NYC Business. Bank Systems and Technology named Bridget as one of the “2013 Elite 8” bank technology leaders, and she has been noted as one of technology’s “Top Power Women” by Forbes.com.
