Biography
Elizabeth F. Whited is executive vice president – sustainability and strategy at Union Pacific Corporation, one of America’s leading transportation companies.
Career
Whited helps develop and implement Union Pacific’s strategic vision and continues to lead the company’s human resources organization, pioneering efforts to provide a world-class employee experience. In addition, she serves as a member of the senior leadership team for the company and is a key management partner for the compensation committee of the board of directors.
After joining Union Pacific Corporation in 1987, Whited held a variety of executive roles in strategic planning, investor relations, ESG, finance, and marketing and sales, including president of subsidiary Union Pacific Distributions Services. In 2016, she was named executive vice president and chief marketing officer, and in 2018, she was named executive vice president and human resource officer. She has served in her current role as executive vice president – sustainability and strategy since February 2022.

Whited holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
