Biography
Kelly C. Chambliss is Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Operating Officer for IBM Consulting. In this role, she is responsible for the global operational performance of IBM Consulting, including business transformation services, hybrid cloud services, mergers and acquisitions, delivery centers, quality, and consulting solutions and capabilities.
Career
Previously, Kelly was SVP of IBM Consulting Americas and Strategic Sales, where she led and grew one of the largest professional services organizations in the world, helping enterprise clients across all industries transform their businesses through consulting services, spanning strategy, technology, and operations. She also led the IBM Consulting Strategic Sales operation globally that develops innovative client strategies and solutions, with a focus on harnessing the power of open hybrid cloud and AI.
Kelly also previously served as the Managing Partner of IBM Consulting North America and the Chief Technology Officer for IBM Consulting.
Kelly joined IBM through the acquisition of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Consulting, where she was a Partner. Her experience at PwC included leading technology-enabled programs across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America.
Kelly’s leadership has been recognized by Business Insider, Fortune, and Consulting Magazine. She is the executive sponsor for the Women at IBM Community, where she is an advocate for engaging and empowering women leaders and expanding allyship.
She served as an Independent Director on the CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE: COR) Board of Directors from 2016 to 2021, leading the Governance Committee and serving as a member of the Compensation Committee. She currently serves on the advisory board for Amicus.io, a fintech start-up.
Education
Kelly graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Management Science and a specialization in Decision Support Systems. She attended Virginia Tech on a full athletic scholarship and was co-captain of the NCAA Division I volleyball team.
Personal life
She resides in Chicago, Illinois with her husband and two children. She is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago and is a marathon runner.
