Brief history

In the end of 2019, there was a virus in China. The virus made a lot of people sick and killed a lot of people. The city was closed off from the outside. But the virus was still there. In a few months, there were 19 people with the virus all over the world. The virus was so bad that it was called a pandemic. It killed a lot of people. People needed medicine and masks. But there were not enough.

After a long time, some doctors think that the virus can be stopped if we are ready. On December 27, 2020, the world had a day to talk about how to stop viruses. The United Nations wanted to make everyone know how important it is to be ready for viruses. They want to help people be ready.
