Aids service center of lower manhattan, inc. , d/b/a alliance for positive change, is a non-profit corporation founded in 1990 that helps new yorkers living with hiv and other chronic illnesses make lasting positive changes towards health, housing, recovery and self-sufficiency. Alliance offers a diverse range of individualized, professional services in an environment that fosters self-respect, personal responsibility and connection to community. By providing access to medical care, peer-to-peer education, and safe practice counseling, alliance annually helps more than 14,000 nyc residents develop sustainable solutions that maximize independence, promote wellness and make a positive change in their lives.
