is a US investment fund with offices in London and New York founded in 2002 which specializes in distressed debt and bankrupt companies.
The company was founded by Andrew Herenstein. It controls funds of $6.62 billion. As of September 30, 2015, Monarch manages approximately $4.9 billion in net assets under management.
It bought £20 million worth of properties from Four Seasons Health Care in December 2015.
It bought Oneida Limited in 2006 after the company had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
In 2020, CEC Entertainment, the owners of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza chains, emerged from its June bankruptcy under the ownership of its lenders led by Monarch.
It has a substantial interest in the Texas Rangers and American Apparel.
