Unlike the first series in 2015, the latest installment of the BBC drama — based on the late Hilary Mantel’s acclaimed trilogy — features a diverse cast, with actors of various ethnic backgrounds taking on key Tudor roles. “There are a number of parts played by people of color, and this is not something we did in the first series. I’m delighted we’ve been able to do it,” Kosminsky noted.
