Donald Trump will not return to Twitter
Former US President Donald Trump has no intention of returning to the social network Twitter as it is "no longer the same". The former head of state said this on Newsmax TV.
Donald Trump said: "Millions of people are leaving the social networking site Twitter. They are leaving because it is not the same, I can understand that".
He also stressed that the social network's management has humiliated Trump and his supporters by regularly tagging his posts. "It's a disgrace. That said, representatives of another country wrote whatever they wanted and Twitter did nothing about it", he added.
According to the former president, his team is now developing a separate platform that Trump himself and his supporters can use.
In January, after Trump supporters stormed the White House, Twitter moderators blocked the former president's account. At the time, the press service of the social network said that the page of the former head of state was blocked without the possibility of recovery. The company explained that the decision was taken "due to the risk of further incitement to violence". Later, Trump called such actions of the social network censorship and restriction of freedom of speech. In addition, the former president said that he might set up his own social network.
