Schedule for the week
Stocks were very volatile last week and market analysts are predicting a further "transitional period".
The S&P 500, Dow Jones ended last week up 0.77%, 1.34% and the Nasdaq Composite was virtually unchanged, market volatility increased.
Last week the S&P 500 had an intraday range of at least 2.25% each day. Analysts attributed the spikes to investors' emotional reaction to the Fed's "reversal" of policy from zero rates and the injection of cash into the economy through monthly bond purchases to a balance sheet reduction and rate hike, perhaps four or more times this year.
