Morning Joe’s Hypocrisy Exposed
Weeks after joining Donald Trump at a rally to deliver his campaign’s closing message, conservative podcaster Megyn Kelly now claims to be an “independent” journalist, insisting she is “not on anybody’s team.”
In an interview with Sky News Australia, Kelly unleashed a fiery critique of MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, accusing the "Morning Joe" hosts of hypocrisy for visiting Trump at Mar-a-Lago. The pair, who previously described Trump as a “fascist” and likened him to Adolf Hitler, now appeared to be making amends. Kelly mocked them for what she called “bootlicking,” declaring they had lost credibility with their liberal audience.
“She’s an idiot. That’s the other thing. She’s a dope,” Kelly said about Brzezinski, mimicking the host’s infamous Vanity Fair photoshoot. “She’s constantly lecturing us about women’s rights like she’s so progressive. I’m so over her.”
Kelly also condemned their past coverage of Trump, highlighting their frequent accusations of racism, sexism, and authoritarianism. “It wasn’t just ‘Hitler’ and ‘fascist.’ It was also eight years of ‘Racist! Sexist! Rapist!’” she exclaimed. “Now it’s like none of it happened!”
Despite Kelly’s assertion of independence, her own actions have raised eyebrows. Just weeks ago, she appeared on stage at a Trump rally, praising him as a “protector of women” and endorsing his re-election bid. Her past feud with Trump — marked by his infamous “nasty” comments about her — seemed forgotten as she embraced him publicly.
Kelly’s recent antics, including mocking Brzezinski and Scarborough, reflect her alignment with the MAGA movement, even as she continues to distance herself from claims of partisanship. Whether her claims of journalistic neutrality will resonate with audiences remains to be seen.
