Amazon
Amazon announced last week that it plans to hire 125,000 additional employees nationwide as the industry prepares for the new holiday season. As an incentive, Amazon advertised that it was offering sign-on bonuses of up to $3,000 in select locations for new performers and transport roles.
Earlier this month, Amazon also announced its intention to fill 40,000 jobs in the corporate and tech sectors.
CVS
CVS expects to fill 25,000 clinical and retail vacancies as flu season approaches and customer demand for vaccines and COVID-19 testing remains strong.
According to the pharmacy retailer, most of the available vacancies are for full-time, part-time and temporary licensed pharmacists, trained pharmacy technicians and nurses at CVS pharmacy locations. CVS is also seeking to increase its retail shop staff.

UPS said Thursday it plans to hire 100,000 seasonal employees as it prepares for another "record peak holiday season".
The delivery company is primarily looking for full- and part-time parcel handlers, drivers, assistant drivers and personal vehicle drivers to cope with the "annual increase in parcel volume".
