Vaccinating Apple employees

Apple Corp. is working with pharmacy company Walgreens Boots Alliance to create a program to vaccinate its employees against coronavirus right in Apple offices. This was reported by Bloomberg on Friday.

According to the agency, the corporation will introduce a website through which Apple employees will be able to sign up for vaccination. The program being developed will enable a large number of employees to return to the office in the near future. However, Apple is not recalling all employees back to the office and does not require those who sign up for vaccinations to quit their remote jobs.

The corporation has previously encouraged its employees to get vaccinated and has provided sick leave on the day of the vaccination as well as while they are recovering from the vaccination.

An Apple spokesperson confirmed the agency's plans to vaccinate employees.

According to the US federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 41.3% of state populations (over 137.2 million people) have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. About 27.5% (91.1 million people) have been fully vaccinated.

More than 31.9 million cases of coronavirus have been identified in the USA since the pandemic began, and more than 570.9 people have died, according to Johns Hopkins University, which does the count based on federal and local government data. The country is ranked first in the world for both indicators.
